Hiking through forest

2024 Student
Summer Program

This program utilizes our Student Adventure Curriculum, where students embark on a journey of self-discovery through outdoor recreation and character development. Our curriculum comprises four distinct units, each pairing an outdoor skill with a character quality. These units are designed to equip students with practical skills while fostering personal growth and leadership abilities.

OVERVIEW

Structure

Each unit consists of two full-day intensive classes, offered monthly, with 16 slots per class.

Objective

Students apply outdoor recreational skills in a controlled and sage environment to instill character-building qualities in students.

Instructors

With decades of field experience, our qualified instructors are trained to challenge students to practice and apply desired qualities. Other qualifications for our instructors are: professional paramedic, licensed educator, rope rescue technician, professional rock climbing and canoe instructors, etc.

Unit format

Students can sign up for any unit independently as classes are self-contained. Each class will teach legitimate outdoor skills that students can take into the real world. Completion of prerequisite  unit classes are mandatory before attending the culminating trip.

CUlminating trip

Students transition from participants to active leaders during this trip. All skills learned during the classes are put into practice as they are faced with challenges.
