Backpacking and Leadership During this Unit your student will learn skills such as: Gear selection, Staying warm and dry, Packing for a trip, Shelter building, Campsite selection and food storage, Backcountry cooking, Meal prep, Finding water, Basic knots, Wilderness first aid and risk management, Land navigation (maps, compass, protractors), and Making fires.
