Caving and responsibility It is never too early to think about legacy. What kind of impact do you want to leave behind? In this unit students will be challened to think about their goals and dreams. Students will be challenged to make a daily change and build good habits that lead to lasting impact. Our actions become habits, which become character, which becomes who we are. Be prepared to take responsibility and accountability and step into the person you were born to be. Skills your student will learn during this unit: Value of the environment, Leave no trace principles, Local watershed, Conservation principles, Introduction to caving, Cave gear selection, Safety and first aid, Rappelling into hard to reach areas, Ascending out of hard to access areas, Techniques for low profile movement, environmental protection and conservation.
